This training program is awesome! It's my 12-week conditioning program developed as a start point for individuals of varied fitness levels that share a common end goal of being selected for Military Special Forces or a Police Tactical Group.
This program will ensure that by the end of the 12-weeks you are at a level of fitness to begin a specialised pre-selection training schedule that will target events and scenarios specific to the selection course.

The MRF program has been developed as a follow on program for individuals that have completed the ICP phase 1 program.
MRF is an 8-week program that ensures by the end of the 8 weeks the participant is ready to not only pass a military or police barrier/screen testing but to comprehensively exceed the required standard of all physical testing.
The training modality throughout each week of the program is broken up into varied disciplines and includes: a long march, endurance swim, 2 x muscle endurance/strength circuits, speed march, combat equipment run and combat clothing swim.
This program will get you ready for SFET.
Forging mental toughness is hard and it's difficult to even know where to start. With a stream of dubious information out there all spewing the same theme of "take action" and "keep moving forward" or "grind it out", it can be overwhelming to say the least.

Self-mastery is the ability to control, have insight, understand, and gain perspective over your physical, mental and emotional state.
Self-mastery is gained through developing awareness, understanding, control and action.
The over-arching goal is to gain control over the only true thing that you can control in any situation: you. Gaining control over your emotions and how you act/react is essential in developing your emotional intelligence or EQ.
Self-mastery is also the ability to control your thoughts, words and physical actions - all vital elements whether you want to attempt selection or just improve your life.
One of the components you'll be assessed on during selection is navigation. If you go into selection WITHOUT your navigation skills being on point, you'll risk being booted from the course.
Because during the navigation phase (which can be 4-5 days in duration) the total number of checkpoints you achieve will be measured against every other candidate. Fail to achieve the average and selection is over.
However, this isn't just about going as hard as you can over the activity period. Go too hard and you'll burn yourself out. You need to be smart and efficient. You'll need to thoroughly understand navigation so you can go from point A to point B as efficiently as possible... and this may NOT be in a direct line.
Navigation is critical to your selection success and you'll need to know it well.

Another component you will be assessed on during selection is your knot tying ability. But, this is not as simple as it sounds, they make it tricky - after all, it is selection!
Here (on Commando selection), you'll be required to jump off a 10-meter platform, at night, dive to the bottom of the pool and tie a series of knots, before resurfacing and reciting a previously told "code".
Safe to say, it behoves you to be all over your knots!
